Job Description
Dentons Munoz Guatemala is seeking an Associate to support tourism and hospitality clients from its Antigua Guatemala office. You will advise hotels, resorts, and tourism operators on regulatory compliance, real estate, and commercial matters in one of Central America's top tourist destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise tourism and hospitality businesses on INGUAT regulatory compliance
- Draft and negotiate hotel management agreements, franchise contracts, and tourism concessions
- Handle real estate transactions for hotel developments and commercial properties in Antigua
- Advise on municipal regulations and heritage property restrictions under CNPAG guidelines
- Support foreign investors on establishing tourism ventures in Guatemala
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of tourism and hospitality client matters
- Coordinate with INGUAT and municipal authorities on permits and approvals
- Support foreign direct investment projects in the tourism sector
- Draft legal guides for international investors entering Guatemala's tourism market
Requirements
- Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales from a recognised university
- Colegiado activo with the Colegio de Abogados y Notarios de Guatemala
- 3-5 years experience in commercial, real estate, or tourism law
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Willingness to be based in Antigua Guatemala
