Job Description
Copa Airlines, Panama's flagship carrier and a Star Alliance member, seeks an Aviation and Regulatory Law Counsel to handle aviation regulatory compliance, aircraft leasing, and route authority matters. Based at Copa's headquarters in Costa del Este, you will interface with the Autoridad Aeronáutica Civil (AAC) and international aviation bodies.
Responsibilities
Advise on route authority applications and bilateral air service agreements. Draft and negotiate aircraft lease and financing agreements. Manage regulatory filings with the Autoridad Aeronáutica Civil. Handle passenger claims and litigation under the Montreal Convention. Support code-share and alliance agreements with Star Alliance partners.
Requirements
Licenciatura en Derecho. 5+ years of aviation, transport, or regulatory law experience. Knowledge of the Montreal Convention, Chicago Convention, and Panamanian aviation regulations. Experience with aircraft leasing or financing preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English required.
