Job Description
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is looking for an experienced Partner to lead its Real Estate practice at Commerce Court West on Bay Street, Toronto. You will oversee complex commercial real estate transactions, REITs, and development projects across Ontario and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects across Ontario
- Advise REITs and institutional investors on portfolio transactions, fund structuring, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee real estate financing transactions including mortgage lending, mezzanine debt, and construction financing
- Manage client relationships and develop new business in the commercial real estate sector
- Mentor and supervise associates and articling students in the Real Estate practice group
Requirements
- Called to the Bar in Ontario (LSO member in good standing)
- 12+ years post-call experience in commercial real estate law
- Established client relationships and portable book of business preferred
- JD/LLB from a recognized Canadian law school
- Strong reputation in the Toronto commercial real estate market
