Commercial Litigation Associate — Tilleke & Gibbins Cambodia, 7 Makara, Phnom Penh

Tilleke & Gibbins Cambodia is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its commercial litigation practice in Phnom Penh. You will represent clients before the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Court of Appeal, and the National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC) on complex commercial disputes under the Civil Code (2007) and Code of Civil Procedure (2006).

Cambodia's courts are handling an increasing volume of commercial disputes as the economy grows. This role offers significant courtroom experience in a firm known for its strong litigation capabilities across Southeast Asia.

• Represent clients in commercial disputes before the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court
• Draft pleadings, submissions, and legal memoranda in Khmer and English
• Manage NCAC arbitration proceedings and advise on enforcement of arbitral awards
• Conduct legal research on Cambodian case law and jurisprudence
• Advise clients on dispute resolution strategies, including mediation and negotiation
• Coordinate with Tilleke & Gibbins regional offices on cross-border disputes involving Cambodia

• 3-6 years' PQE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
• Admitted to the BAKC
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Code (2007), Code of Civil Procedure (2006), and Law on Commercial Arbitration (2006)
• Courtroom experience before the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and/or Court of Appeal
• Experience with NCAC arbitration or ad hoc arbitration proceedings
• Fluent Khmer and English; strong legal writing and advocacy skills
