Position Overview
Job Description
As a Contracts Manager, you will:
- Act as a trusted partner to delivery teams, providing guidance on commercial and contractual matters throughout the full lifecycle of data centre projects.
- Address and resolve contract interpretation challenges and disputes with creativity, ensuring solutions balance both parties’ objectives while considering long-term impacts.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance quality, accelerate timelines, and optimize cost efficiency in project delivery.
- Lead negotiations and draft key commercial terms across new contracts, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from project kick-off through contractor performance monitoring, delivery management, and final close-out.
- Evaluate and manage contract claims, including variations, time-related claims, payment requests, and invoicing.
- Drive cost management and forecasting to support accurate reporting and cashflow projections across active projects.
- Design and implement reporting tools to track and measure critical contract performance metrics.
- Demonstrable experience in managing the commercial aspects of complex, large-scale, and multi-disciplinary projects in Real Estate.
- More than 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- A passion for delivering exceptional client service.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication & facilitation skills, with a natural ability to build relationships.
- Professional accreditations such as PQS/CEC, MRICS or equivalent
- Cost management experience on Real Estate projects exceeding $100M
- A recognized degree in a technical field: Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Commercial Management, Project Management etc. If the degree is obtained outside Canada, an equivalency verification will be required
Other qualities that would be advantageous to your application:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in commercial software (e.g., CostX, Aconex/Unifier).

The base salary range for this full-time role is $95,000 - $145,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
