Job Description
Deacons, Hong Kong's oldest independent law firm with over 170 years of history, is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor for its Central office. You will advise Hong Kong and international clients on M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and general commercial matters with the benefit of Deacons' unmatched local market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and shareholders' arrangements under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622)
- Handle regulatory filings with the Companies Registry and HKEX
- Draft commercial contracts, distribution agreements, and franchise arrangements
- Advise Hong Kong family businesses on succession planning and corporate governance
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor admitted in Hong Kong
- 3-5 years PQE in corporate and commercial law
- Strong Cantonese language skills essential for local client base
