Job Description
MOL Group, Hungary's leading oil and gas company, is seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to support its upstream and downstream operations. The role involves advising on joint venture agreements, exploration licences, and regulatory compliance across MOL's Central and Eastern European operations.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate joint operating agreements, farm-in/farm-out agreements, and production sharing contracts. Advise on regulatory approvals for upstream exploration and production activities. Support corporate transactions including acquisitions and divestitures in the energy sector. Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Advise on environmental and HSE regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Hungarian law degree with 6-10 years of corporate or energy law experience. Knowledge of Hungarian Mining Act and petroleum regulations. Experience with joint venture and concession agreements in the oil and gas sector. Understanding of environmental compliance requirements. Fluent in Hungarian and English; additional CEE languages a plus.
