Data Privacy & GDPR Solicitor - Mason Hayes & Curran
Mason Hayes & Curran is recruiting a Data Privacy and GDPR Solicitor to join our market-leading technology and data privacy team in Dublin. Ireland is the EU data protection hub, with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) acting as the lead supervisory authority for major technology companies. This role places you at the heart of European data protection regulation.
You will advise multinational technology companies, financial institutions, and healthcare organisations on GDPR compliance, data breaches, cross-border data transfers, and DPC investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on GDPR compliance programmes and data protection impact assessments
- Handle DPC investigations, inquiries, and enforcement actions
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses
- Advise on cross-border data transfers post-Schrems II
- Support clients with data breach notification and response
- Advise on ePrivacy Regulation and EU Digital Services Act implications

Requirements
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor admitted in Ireland
- 4-7 years PQE in data privacy and technology law
- CIPP/E certification is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and Irish Data Protection Act 2018
- Experience engaging with the Data Protection Commission
- Strong understanding of technology sector and digital platforms
