Job Description

Baker McKenzie Taipei is looking for a Data Protection & Privacy Associate to advise clients on compliance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and cross-border data transfer requirements. This role covers data governance frameworks for tech, financial, and healthcare clients.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on PDPA compliance programs and data governance frameworks; draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and consent mechanisms; conduct privacy impact assessments for new products and services; advise on cross-border data transfer mechanisms and regulatory requirements; support clients during data breach investigations and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

Taiwan bar admission; 3-5 years of experience in data protection, privacy law, or technology law; strong knowledge of Taiwan PDPA and international privacy frameworks including GDPR; ability to conduct privacy impact assessments; bilingual in Mandarin and English.
