Job Description
Baker McKenzie Taipei seeks an Employment Law Associate to advise multinational employers on Taiwan labor law compliance, workforce restructuring, and employment disputes. The role covers the full spectrum of employment matters for the firm's corporate clients.
Responsibilities
Advise multinational employers on compliance with Taiwan labor laws and regulations; draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, and separation agreements; handle labor disputes including mediation and litigation under the Labor Incident Act; advise on workforce restructuring, mass layoffs, and plant closures; support clients during labor inspections and regulatory audits.
Requirements
Taiwan bar admission; 2-5 years of employment law experience; thorough knowledge of Taiwan Labor Standards Act, Act of Gender Equality in Employment, and Labor Incident Act; experience with labor inspections and dispute resolution; bilingual in Mandarin and English.
