Job Description

BBA//Fjeldco seeks an Environmental & Natural Resources Associate to advise on Iceland's environmental protection framework, land use planning, and natural resource management. You will handle matters involving glacial preservation, geothermal stewardship, and compliance with international environmental treaties.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on environmental permits, impact assessments, and remediation obligations. Draft opinions on land use zoning, water rights, and mineral extraction. Represent clients before the Environmental and Natural Resources Board of Appeal. Monitor compliance with Paris Agreement obligations and Nordic environmental cooperation.

Requirements

Cand.Jur. or LL.M. in environmental law. 3-5 years of experience in environmental regulation or natural resources law. Familiarity with Iceland's Environmental Impact Assessment Act and Nature Conservation Act. Icelandic and English fluency.
