The camp counselor supports the daily operations of a robotics and engineering-focused computing camp for upper elementary and middle school students. Working under the guidance of the camp instructor, the counselor helps facilitate activities, supervises campers, and ensures a safe learning environment. This is an ideal role for individuals interested in K-12 STEM education, youth mentorship, and hands-on learning.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist the camp instructor with daily activities and lessons facilitation.

  • Supervise and engage with campers to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.

  • Help with general camp organization, e.g. setup and cleanup.

  • Support campers during hands-on activities and group projects.

  • Communicate camper needs or concerns to the instructor as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for working with youth in grades 4โ€“8 in a camp or educational setting.

  • Interest in robotics and computing (no formal experience required).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with campers, peers, and instructors.

  • Dependable, responsible, and willing to take initiative.

  • Must be at least 15 years and available for all scheduled camp sessions and required training.

Compensation Pay Range:

$15/hour
