Job Description
ENI SpA is seeking a Head of Legal for its Upstream Operations division at the company's headquarters at Piazzale Enrico Mattei 1 in Rome's EUR business district. You will lead a team of legal professionals supporting ENI's global exploration and production activities across Italy, North Africa, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal support for production sharing agreements, joint operating agreements, and concession contracts
- Manage international arbitrations (ICC, ICSID) relating to upstream operations
- Advise on Italian mining law (Codice dell'Ambiente, D.Lgs. 152/2006) and environmental compliance
- Coordinate with ENI's country legal teams and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
Requirements
- Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza; LLM in international or energy law preferred
- Admitted as Avvocato; 10+ years PQE with at least 5 years in energy/natural resources
- Experience managing legal teams and international arbitration portfolios
- Fluent English; French or Arabic advantageous
