Job Description
Orange Jordan, the country's leading telecommunications provider based in the Abdali district of Amman, is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its in-house legal team. You will manage all legal matters for the company including regulatory compliance with the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), commercial contracts, data privacy under Jordan's proposed data protection legislation, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5+ in-house lawyers and paralegals
- Advise the CEO and Board on legal risks and corporate governance matters
- Oversee regulatory compliance with TRC licensing conditions and spectrum regulations
- Negotiate major commercial agreements with suppliers, partners, and government entities
- Manage external counsel relationships and litigation budget
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; LLM preferred
- Admitted to the Jordan Bar Association
- 10+ years PQE including 3+ years in a senior legal leadership role
- Experience in telecommunications, technology, or regulated industries
- Fluent in Arabic and English
Responsibilities
