Job Description
TGS Baltic Estonia is seeking a Junior Associate to join our emerging Cybersecurity Law practice, based in Tartu. Estonia is a global leader in cybersecurity, home to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and the EU Agency for Large-Scale IT Systems (eu-LISA).
You will advise clients on compliance with the Kuberjulgeoleku seadus (Cybersecurity Act), NIS2 Directive implementation, and Estonian critical infrastructure protection requirements. The role involves working with clients across the public and private sectors on incident response, cybersecurity governance, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on compliance with the Kuberjulgeoleku seadus and NIS2 Directive implementation. Draft cybersecurity policies, incident response plans, and governance frameworks. Support clients with Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) reporting and compliance requirements. Conduct legal analysis of cybersecurity incidents and data breach notification obligations. Research emerging EU cybersecurity regulation (Cyber Resilience Act, Cyber Solidarity Act).
Requirements
Oigusteaduse magister from a recognized university. 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT law, or technology regulation. Knowledge of the Kuberjulgeoleku seadus (Cybersecurity Act) and NIS2 Directive. Understanding of information security frameworks (ISO 27001). Fluent in Estonian and English.
