Juriste Bancaire — BNI Madagascar

BNI Madagascar is seeking a Juriste Bancaire to join its in-house legal department at the bank's headquarters on Avenue de l'Indépendance, Antananarivo. This mid-level role involves providing legal support across the bank's full range of operations, including retail banking, corporate lending, trade finance, and project finance for mining and infrastructure projects.

You will draft and review loan agreements, guarantee instruments, and mortgage documentation while ensuring the bank's compliance with regulations issued by the Banque Centrale de Madagascar and the Commission de Supervision Bancaire et Financière (CSBF). The role also involves managing litigation matters, particularly loan recovery actions before the Tribunal de Commerce d'Antananarivo.

• Draft and review loan agreements, credit facilities, and guarantee instruments
• Ensure compliance with CSBF directives and Banque Centrale regulations
• Manage mortgage documentation and real property security interests
• Handle debt recovery litigation before the Tribunal de Commerce
• Advise on anti-money laundering compliance and KYC procedures
• Support project finance transactions for mining and infrastructure projects
• Provide legal opinions on new banking products and services
• Coordinate with external avocats on complex litigation matters

• Master's degree in banking law, financial law, or business law
• 3-5 years of experience in banking law, either in-house or at a law firm
• Strong knowledge of Malagasy banking regulations, CSBF directives, and Banque Centrale circulars
• Experience with loan documentation, guarantees, and mortgage instruments
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations
• Fluency in French; English proficiency for international banking matters
• Understanding of OHADA Uniform Acts on secured transactions
