Legal Compliance Officer

Legal Compliance Officer — Turkish Airlines, Istanbul

Turkish Airlines is seeking a Legal Compliance Officer to join its Legal Department at the Istanbul Airport campus. This role focuses on corporate compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, and regulatory compliance for one of the world's largest airlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance policies covering anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and sanctions
• Conduct compliance risk assessments for Turkish Airlines' operations in 120+ countries
• Manage the airline's compliance hotline and internal investigation procedures
• Advise on KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698) compliance for passenger and employee data processing
• Ensure compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European operations
• Train employees on compliance policies, ethical conduct, and whistleblower protection
• Monitor international sanctions (UN, EU, OFAC) and advise on route and counterparty screening

• LLB from a recognized Turkish university; LLM in compliance, corporate governance, or international law preferred
• 4-8 years of compliance, regulatory, or legal experience
• Knowledge of Turkish anti-bribery regulations, KVKK, and international sanctions frameworks
• Experience with compliance program design and internal investigations
• Fluent Turkish and English; additional languages are an advantage
• ICA, ACAMS, or similar compliance certification is a plus
• Active avukat license preferred
