Job Description
BNP Paribas, France's largest bank headquartered at 16 boulevard des Italiens in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Banking Regulation and Compliance team. You will advise on ACPR and AMF regulatory requirements, Basel III/IV implementation, and banking supervision matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on French and EU banking regulation including CRD V/CRR II implementation
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments from the ACPR, AMF, EBA, and ECB
- Draft regulatory filings and respond to supervisory inquiries from the ACPR
- Advise business lines on product compliance with MiFID II, PSD2, and PRIIPs regulation
- Coordinate with the bank's compliance function on AML/KYC matters
Requirements
- Master 2 in Banking/Financial Law or Regulatory Law
- Admitted as Avocat or qualified Juriste d'entreprise
- 4-7 years experience in banking regulation at a bank, regulator, or law firm
- Deep knowledge of French and EU banking regulation
- Bilingual French/English required
