Job Description
The Bank of Botswana seeks a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice on banking regulation, monetary policy instruments and international financial agreements. This is a prestigious role at the heart of Botswana's financial system.
Responsibilities
- Advise on the Bank's regulatory and supervisory functions
- Draft and review banking legislation and guidelines
- Represent the Bank in legal proceedings
- Review international financial agreements and MoUs
Requirements
- LLB; LLM in banking or financial law is an advantage
- 3+ years post-admission experience in banking or regulatory law
- Knowledge of the Banking Act and Financial Intelligence Act
