Job Description
SEB Banka is looking for a Legal Counsel to support its consumer lending operations in Latvia. You will advise on consumer credit regulations, product development, and ensure compliance with consumer protection requirements across lending products.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on consumer lending products including mortgages, personal loans, and credit cards. Draft and review standard loan terms and consumer-facing documentation. Ensure compliance with responsible lending requirements. Support regulatory inspections and respond to consumer complaints escalated to the legal team.
Requirements
Master's degree in law. 3-5 years of experience in banking law, preferably in consumer finance. Knowledge of the Consumer Rights Protection Law and Consumer Credit Directive. Understanding of FCMC supervisory expectations. Fluent in Latvian and English.
