Job Description
Bolt, Europe's leading mobility super-app headquartered in Tallinn, is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Data Protection & Privacy. You will be responsible for ensuring Bolt's compliance with GDPR, the Isikuandmete kaitse seadus (Personal Data Protection Act), and emerging EU digital regulation across all of Bolt's product verticals.
With operations spanning ride-hailing, food delivery, grocery delivery, and car-sharing across 45+ countries, this role offers unmatched exposure to complex cross-border data protection challenges. You will liaise with the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (Data Protection Inspectorate) and DPAs across Europe.
Responsibilities
Advise Bolt's product and engineering teams on data protection compliance across all verticals. Manage data subject access requests and data breach notification processes. Conduct data protection impact assessments for new products and features. Liaise with the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon and EU data protection authorities. Draft and maintain privacy policies, cookie policies, and data processing agreements.
Requirements
Law degree from a recognized university. 3-6 years of experience in data protection and privacy law. Expert knowledge of GDPR and the Isikuandmete kaitse seadus. Experience conducting DPIAs and managing cross-border data transfers. CIPP/E certification preferred. Fluent in English; Estonian is a plus.
