Job Description

Engro Corporation seeks a Legal Counsel specialising in Energy & Environmental law at its Karachi headquarters. The role involves advising on environmental compliance across Engro's industrial operations, NEQS compliance, environmental impact assessments, and energy sector regulatory matters. Engro is committed to sustainable business practices and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

Advising on environmental compliance across Engro's business units. Managing environmental regulatory proceedings and EPA interactions. Reviewing environmental impact assessments and compliance reports. Advising on carbon credit mechanisms and climate change regulations. Handling energy regulatory matters including OGRA and NEPRA compliance.

Requirements

LLB from a recognised university. Enrolled with a Provincial Bar Council. 3-5 years PQE in environmental, energy, or regulatory law. Understanding of Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997, NEQS, and EPA regulations. Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory proceedings.
