Job Description
Enel's Legal & Compliance division at Viale Regina Margherita 137 in Rome is hiring a Data Protection Counsel to oversee GDPR compliance across its Italian operations. Working closely with the Group DPO, you will manage privacy governance for a company serving millions of Italian consumers, ensuring compliance with the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage GDPR compliance programme across Enel's Italian business units
- Conduct and oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new digital products and smart grid initiatives
- Handle data breach notifications to the Garante Privacy and affected individuals
- Review data processing agreements and international data transfer mechanisms (SCCs, adequacy decisions)
Requirements
- Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza
- 5-8 years experience in data protection/privacy law
- CIPP/E or equivalent certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and Italian Privacy Code (D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended)
Responsibilities
GDPR programme management; DPIAs for smart grid; Breach notifications to Garante; DPA and SCC review
