Job Description
DLA Piper's Milan office is looking for an Associate to join its Intellectual Property, Technology & Data Protection team. Based at Via della Posta 7, you will advise on trademark and patent matters before the UIBM (Italian Patent and Trademark Office) and EUIPO, technology licensing, and data protection compliance under Italy's GDPR implementation (D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended by D.Lgs. 101/2018).
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on trademark, patent, and design registration and enforcement in Italy and the EU
- Draft technology licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, and software development agreements
- Handle GDPR compliance projects including data protection impact assessments and Garante Privacy interactions
- Support litigation before the Tribunale delle Imprese (Enterprise Court) in IP disputes
Requirements
- Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza
- Admitted as Avvocato; 2-5 years PQE in IP, technology, or data protection
- Knowledge of GDPR, Italian Privacy Code, and EU Digital Services Act
- Excellent English
