Slovak Telekom, part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Telecommunications and Regulatory team in Bratislava. You will advise on telecommunications regulatory matters before the Úrad pre reguláciu elektronických komunikácií a poštových služieb (RÚ – Regulatory Authority) and ensure compliance with the Zákon o elektronických komunikáciách.
This role involves advising on 5G spectrum licensing, net neutrality, and the regulatory framework for fixed and mobile networks. You will support Slovak Telekom's digital transformation initiatives and coordinate with Deutsche Telekom's group legal team on pan-European regulatory strategy.
Responsibilities
Advise on telecommunications regulatory compliance and RÚ proceedings. Support spectrum licensing and 5G deployment regulatory matters. Draft and negotiate interconnection and wholesale access agreements. Handle consumer protection issues related to telecom services. Advise on net neutrality, data retention, and lawful interception obligations. Coordinate with Deutsche Telekom Group Legal on EU-wide regulatory strategy.
Requirements
Slovak law degree (Mgr.) with 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications, regulatory, or technology law. Knowledge of the Zákon o elektronických komunikáciách and EU Electronic Communications Code. Experience with regulatory proceedings before RÚ preferred. Fluent Slovak and English; German advantageous.
