Job Description

HANFA (Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency) is seeking a Legal Officer to join its Capital Markets Supervision division. You will draft regulatory decisions, conduct supervisory proceedings, and contribute to the implementation of EU capital markets legislation in Croatia.

Responsibilities

Draft supervisory decisions and sanctions relating to capital markets participants. Conduct inspections and supervisory proceedings against investment firms and issuers. Contribute to transposition of EU capital markets directives into Croatian law. Prepare reports for ESMA and participate in EU regulatory consultations. Advise on licensing applications from investment firms and funds.

Requirements

Croatian law degree. 2-4 years of experience in capital markets regulation, securities law, or financial supervision. Understanding of MiFID II, MAR, and Prospectus Regulation. Fluent in Croatian and English. Civil service eligibility required. Experience at a regulatory body or in capital markets practice preferred.
