Job Description
LEGAL PROCESSING ANALYST (Student Worker)
Examination No. 24-002
San Diego Superior Court is seeking currently enrolled law school students in order to establish an eligible list of Legal Processing Analyst (Student Worker) employment candidates.
Please note that this is a separate recruitment from the regular Student Worker job posting (Exam No. 21-017).
Names of qualified candidates are kept on the Legal Processing Analyst eligible list for six (6) months. After which, they are welcome to re-apply as long as they meet the minimum qualifications, and the recruitment is open for applications.
Under supervision, the Legal Processing Analyst (Student Worker) performs various duties in support of judicial officers and court staff, including reviewing and processing default court judgments in various areas of law, including but not limited to family, probate, limited civil, and unlimited civil. Incumbents will also process orders after hearings and review family judgment checklists. Successful applicants may also have the opportunity to participate in legal mentoring and internship development opportunities offered by the court's legal department.
COURT LOCATIONS (Not all may have immediate openings):
The pay rate for this specific Student Worker position is $30.00/hour. Maximum work hours are 20 hours per week (even during spring, summer, and winter breaks). Hours are flexible to accommodate school schedules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be full-time law students currently enrolled in at least 9.0 semester units or 12.0 quarter units at an accredited school of law. The minimum unit load requirement is waived for students with a permanent disability.

If your college/university offers an electronic format (e-transcript) and you choose that option, your electronic official transcript may either be included as a PDF attachment to your online application, or emailed directly to Human Resources at CourtHR@sdcourt.ca.gov. An unofficial transcript or JPEG pictures of your transcript will NOT be accepted.
For students with a permanent disability, the minimum unit load requirement is waived. However, a letter from a licensed medical physician or the disability support services office of your school (verifying your permanent disability status) is required.
