Job Description
To lead and manage the implementation, enablement, integration, monitoring, and reporting of Sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance – ESG) initiatives across Standard Insurance Limited (SIL) as a primary focus, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, Group frameworks, and industry best practices.
The role is accountable for enterprise‑wide ESG enablement, acts as SIL’s primary ESG management focal point, and provides senior oversight, advice, and coordination (BAU and once-off project initiatives) of climate and sustainability‑related initiatives.
The secondary focus is the management and enablement of ESG‑related and sustainability‑related regulatory compliance, in partnership with the second‑line Compliance function, including emerging regulations and existing obligations.
Qualifications
Type of Qualification: Degree
Field of Study: Environmental Sciences/Management, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Sustainability, or related field.
Experience Required 8-12 years
ESG / Sustainability leadership experience, with track record of implementing sustainability initiatives, and providing sound expertise. Insurance, Risk, Compliance experience
Senior stakeholder, committee, and regulatory engagement experience
