About the Role
Lambadarios Law Firm is seeking an experienced Maritime Law Associate to join our shipping disputes practice in Piraeus. Greece is the world's leading maritime nation, and our firm sits at the heart of the global shipping industry. You will handle charterparty disputes, bills of lading claims, collision and salvage matters, and ship arrest proceedings before Greek and international courts.
Responsibilities
- Advise Greek and international shipowners on charterparty disputes, cargo claims, and P&I matters
- Draft and review maritime contracts, MOAs, and shipbuilding agreements
- Represent clients before the Piraeus Multi-Member Court and arbitration tribunals
- Coordinate with London arbitrators and international correspondents on cross-border shipping disputes
- Research developments in Greek maritime law (Kodikas Idiotikou Naftikou Dikaiou) and international conventions
Requirements
- Law degree from a Greek university or recognized EU institution
- Active member of the Dikigoritikos Syllogos Piraeus or Athens
- 3-5 years of experience in maritime or shipping law
- Strong knowledge of Greek Code of Private Maritime Law and international maritime conventions
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek shipping terminology essential
