About the Role
Potamitis Vekris is looking for a Senior Partner to lead our expanding Maritime & International Trade practice. This leadership role involves managing key client relationships with Greek shipowners, overseeing complex maritime disputes, and driving the strategic growth of the department.
Responsibilities
- Lead the maritime law practice and manage a team of associates and paralegals
- Handle high-value admiralty disputes, ship arrests, and international arbitrations
- Develop and maintain relationships with major Greek and international shipping clients
- Advise on international trade sanctions, export controls, and compliance matters
- Contribute to firm strategy, business development, and thought leadership in maritime law
Requirements
- Qualified dikigoros with rights before the Areios Pagos (Supreme Court)
- 12+ years of experience in maritime law with a significant client following
- Proven business development track record in the Greek shipping sector
- International arbitration experience (London, LMAA, ICC)
- Fluent in English; established reputation in the Greek maritime legal community
