PARALEGAL SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the Manual for Courts-Martial, the Manual for the Judge Advocate General of the Navy, and the Marine Corps Separation and Retirement Manual; 2) Applying legal skills and knowledge necessary to draft and prepare sound briefing and information papers, opinions, conclusions, and recommendations; 3) Familiarity with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)/Privacy Act (PA) applicable regulations, statutes, or guidelines, including all FOIA exceptions, procedural issues, legal interpretations, decisions, and precedents surrounding FOIA and PA processing; and 4) Applying knowledge of research methods to include the use of statutes, directives, instructions, regulations, orders, digests, documentaries, commentaries, legal instruments, case law and other legal and administrative reference material to respond to issues presented.
