Position Overview
Job Description
CMS Germany is looking for a Rechtsanwalt to join our growing IP/IT practice in Hamburg. Our team advises technology companies, media groups, and industrial clients on intellectual property protection, technology transactions, data privacy, and digital regulation across Germany and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Advise on IP licensing, technology transfer, and software agreements
- Handle trademark, patent, and design rights matters including prosecution and enforcement
- Advise on GDPR compliance, data processing agreements, and data privacy frameworks
- Draft and negotiate IT outsourcing, SaaS, and cloud computing agreements
- Support clients on Digital Services Act and AI Act compliance
- Represent clients in IP disputes before German courts and EUIPO
Requirements
- Zweites Staatsexamen with minimum 7 points
- 2-4 years of experience in IP, IT, or data privacy law
- Admitted as Rechtsanwalt at a German Rechtsanwaltskammer
- Strong knowledge of German and EU IP law, UrhG, MarkenG, and PatG
- Familiarity with GDPR and German BDSG
- Fluent in German and English
- CIPP/E certification or technical background is a plus
