Securities Enforcement Officer — Securities Commission Malaysia
The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is seeking a Securities Enforcement Officer to join its Enforcement Division in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves investigating securities fraud, insider trading, and market manipulation cases, and prosecuting enforcement actions before the Malaysian courts and the SC's administrative proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate suspected violations of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 including insider trading, market manipulation, and corporate fraud
- Prepare investigation reports and recommendations for enforcement action to the SC's Enforcement Committee
- Prosecute civil and criminal enforcement actions before the Sessions Court, High Court, and appellate courts
- Conduct examinations of witnesses, compel production of documents, and coordinate with Bank Negara Malaysia and the Royal Malaysia Police on financial crimes
- Review corporate proposals and prospectuses for potential misrepresentation or non-disclosure
- Monitor market activities and coordinate with Bursa Malaysia's surveillance team on suspicious trading patterns

Requirements
- Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with 3-6 years PQE in securities law, enforcement, or litigation
- Strong knowledge of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and Securities Commission Act 1993
- Experience in litigation, investigation, or regulatory enforcement
- Understanding of capital market operations, trading systems, and financial analysis
- LL.B. from a recognised university; CLP holder
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and advocacy skills
- Ability to handle complex financial evidence and work under pressure on time-sensitive investigations
