Senior Associate — Banking & Project Finance

Trowers & Hamlins' Bahrain office in the Bahrain World Trade Centre is recruiting a Senior Associate for its Banking and Project Finance practice. You will work on major project finance, infrastructure PPP, and conventional and Islamic financing transactions across Bahrain and the GCC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on project finance documentation for infrastructure and energy projects in Bahrain
• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, inter-creditor agreements, and security packages
• Advise on PPP structuring under Bahrain's Public-Private Partnership Law
• Coordinate with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) and Ministry of Works on infrastructure projects
• Structure Islamic finance tranches alongside conventional facilities

• Manage deal teams on multi-bank financing transactions
• Build client relationships with Bahrain-based developers and government entities
• Supervise associates and trainees
• Contribute to business development in the Bahrain market

• LLB from a recognised university; qualified in England & Wales, Bahrain, or a GCC jurisdiction
• 6-9 years post-qualification experience in banking, project finance, or infrastructure law
• Experience with Islamic finance structures an advantage
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills preferred
• Knowledge of Bahrain Commercial Companies Law and CBB regulations
