Job Description
Al Tamimi & Company's Bahrain office in the Bahrain Financial Harbour is recruiting a Senior Associate for its Construction & Infrastructure practice. You will advise developers, contractors, and government entities on major construction and infrastructure projects across the Kingdom, including developments in Bahrain Bay and Diyar Al Muharraq.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate FIDIC-based construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements
- Advise on Bahrain's Construction Law and Tender Law for public procurement
- Handle construction disputes through BCDR-AAA arbitration and Bahrain courts
- Advise on employer's requirements, variation orders, and extension of time claims
- Review project finance documentation for real estate and infrastructure developments
Responsibilities
- Lead the construction dispute caseload for the Bahrain office
- Build client relationships with Bahraini developers and contractors
- Contribute to the firm's regional construction practice
- Supervise associates and trainees on construction matters
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; LLM in Construction Law or International Arbitration preferred
- 6-9 years post-qualification experience in construction and projects law
- Licensed to practise in Bahrain or a GCC jurisdiction
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and GCC construction practices
