Job Description
Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT), associated with Herbert Smith Freehills, is looking for a Senior Associate for its Construction & Infrastructure practice in South Jakarta. With Indonesia's massive infrastructure development programme including the new Nusantara capital city, toll roads, airports, and power plants, this role offers exposure to landmark projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review EPC, FIDIC, and government-contractor agreements for infrastructure projects
- Advise on PPP (Public-Private Partnership) frameworks under PP 38/2015
- Handle construction disputes through adjudication, mediation, and BANI arbitration
- Advise on environmental compliance (AMDAL/UKL-UPL) for major infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with Herbert Smith Freehills network on cross-border infrastructure financing
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised Indonesian university; LLM preferred
- Admitted as Advokat by PERADI
- 6-9 years experience in construction, infrastructure, or project finance law
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and Indonesian PPP framework
- Excellent English for international coordination
Responsibilities
Draft EPC/FIDIC contracts, advise on PPP framework, handle construction disputes, advise on AMDAL, coordinate with HSF
Requirements
LLB (LLM preferred), PERADI, 6-9 years construction/infrastructure law, FIDIC and PPP knowledge
