Job Description
Ellex Valiunas is seeking a Senior Associate to join our EU & Public Law practice in Vilnius. As Lithuania deepens its integration into the EU and navigates complex regulatory challenges, this role offers unparalleled exposure to high-profile EU law matters.
You will advise on EU institutional law, state aid, public procurement under the Viesuju pirkimu istatymas, and EU-funded projects. The role includes representing clients before Lithuanian administrative courts and advising the Lithuanian government and EU institutions on matters of EU law compliance.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on EU law compliance, state aid notifications, and EU-funded project implementation. Handle public procurement disputes and advise on the Viesuju pirkimu istatymas. Represent clients before the Vilniaus apygardos administracinis teismas and Lietuvos vyriausiasis administracinis teismas (Supreme Administrative Court). Advise on regulatory and constitutional law matters, including challenges to administrative decisions. Provide legal support for EU accession-related matters and EU policy consultations.
Requirements
Teises magistras from a recognized university; LL.M. in EU Law is an advantage. Admission to the Lithuanian Bar (Lietuvos advokatura) preferred. 5-7 years of experience in EU law, public law, or public procurement. Deep knowledge of EU institutional law and the Viesuju pirkimu istatymas. Fluent in Lithuanian and English; French or German is a plus.
