Job Description

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is looking for a Senior Associate to strengthen its Property & Real Estate practice at 567 Collins Street in Melbourne's Docklands precinct. You will advise on major commercial property transactions, development projects, leasing, and real estate fund structuring for institutional investors, developers, and REITs listed on the ASX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties across Australia
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial leases and agreements for lease
  • Handle real estate fund structuring including managed investment schemes under Chapter 5C of the Corporations Act
  • Advise on planning and development approvals under the Victorian Planning and Environment Act 1987

Requirements

  • Admitted as a solicitor in Victoria; 5-8 years PQE in property/real estate
  • Experience with Torrens title system and Victorian property law
  • Knowledge of AFSL requirements for real estate funds
  • Strong commercial and transactional skills
