Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex M&A, joint venture, and project finance transactions in Iraq
• Manage client relationships with major energy companies and sovereign investors
• Supervise and mentor junior associates in the Baghdad office
• Develop new business opportunities across Iraq and Kurdistan Region
• Represent the firm at industry events and legal conferences
• Coordinate with Al-Tamimi's regional offices on cross-border mandates

• Iraqi Bar Association membership or qualification in a recognized jurisdiction
• 10+ years of transactional legal experience with significant Iraq focus
• Track record of managing complex transactions in energy, banking, or infrastructure
• Bilingual Arabic-English with excellent drafting skills
• Business development capability and established client relationships in Iraq
• Leadership and mentoring experience
