Job Description
Senior Corporate Counsel — Al-Tamimi & Company, Baghdad
Al-Tamimi's Baghdad office is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to lead high-value transactions and mentor junior associates. This partner-track role involves managing the firm's most significant Iraq mandates across energy, banking, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex M&A, joint venture, and project finance transactions in Iraq
- Manage client relationships with major energy companies and sovereign investors
- Supervise and mentor junior associates in the Baghdad office
- Develop new business opportunities across Iraq and Kurdistan Region
- Represent the firm at industry events and legal conferences
- Coordinate with Al-Tamimi's regional offices on cross-border mandates

- Bilingual Arabic-English with excellent drafting skills
- Business development capability and established client relationships in Iraq
- Leadership and mentoring experience
