Senior Tax Advisor — VDB Loi Myanmar

VDB Loi is recruiting a Senior Tax Advisor to lead our tax advisory practice in Yangon. You will manage complex tax structuring engagements for multinational companies, development finance institutions, and private equity funds investing in Myanmar.

This senior role requires deep expertise in Myanmar's Income Tax Law, Commercial Tax Law, and the tax incentive framework under the Myanmar Investment Law 2016 and SEZ Law 2014. You will also advise on transfer pricing compliance, withholding tax obligations, and double taxation agreements between Myanmar and its treaty partners.

• Lead tax advisory engagements for multinational clients investing in Myanmar
• Structure tax-efficient investment vehicles and holding structures
• Advise on transfer pricing compliance and documentation requirements
• Manage relationships with the Internal Revenue Department
• Provide tax due diligence support for M&A transactions
• Develop the firm's tax practice and mentor junior team members

• Law degree or accounting/tax qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of tax advisory experience in Myanmar or Southeast Asia
• Expert knowledge of Myanmar Income Tax Law and Commercial Tax Law
• Experience with transfer pricing documentation and compliance
• Understanding of Myanmar's DTAs and international tax planning
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Fluent in English; Myanmar language preferred
