This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of U.S. employment law and large-scale workforce operations within a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. You will provide hands-on legal counsel across a broad range of employment matters, helping ensure compliance across multiple U.S. jurisdictions while directly influencing HR strategy and employee relations practices. The position involves close collaboration with HR, finance, and leadership teams to manage risk, shape policies, and support day-to-day employment decisions. You will also play a key role in drafting and maintaining employment documentation, supporting internal investigations, and advising on disputes and regulatory matters. This is a high-impact legal role where your work directly supports both operational integrity and organizational growth. The environment is collaborative, remote-first, and suited for a proactive attorney comfortable working across time zones and legal complexities.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for providing end-to-end legal support across employment law matters, ensuring compliance and guiding internal stakeholders through complex workforce issues.

    • Advise on U.S. federal and multi-state employment and labor law compliance, including wage-and-hour laws, leave regulations, and worker classification standards
    • Draft, review, and maintain employment-related agreements, policies, handbooks, offer letters, and separation documents
    • Partner closely with HR on employee relations matters, including performance management, accommodations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
    • Support and conduct internal investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage-related complaints
    • Assist in managing employment disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel and regulatory agencies where needed
    • Monitor evolving employment legislation across U.S. jurisdictions and advise on required policy or operational changes
    • Provide training and guidance to managers and HR teams on employment law best practices and compliance requirements
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled employment attorney with strong U.S. labor law knowledge, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to operate independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.

      • Law degree and active legal license in the Philippines required; U.S. JD or U.S. bar admission strongly preferred
      • Solid experience or academic background in U.S. employment and labor law, including multi-state compliance frameworks
      • Familiarity with wage-and-hour litigation, employee classification, and regulatory employment standards
      • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance
      • Experience supporting HR teams on employee relations, investigations, and workplace policy development
      • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
      • Comfortable working night shift hours aligned with U.S. time zones in a fully remote setup
      • Strong ethical judgment and a mission-driven approach to legal practice
      • Benefits:

        • Fully remote role with night shift schedule aligned to U.S. operations
        • Opportunity to practice U.S. employment law at scale in a high-impact environment
        • Exposure to complex, multi-state legal and HR matters across a growing organization
        • Collaborative and values-driven remote team culture
        • Professional growth opportunities through hands-on legal work and cross-functional collaboration
        • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards
        • Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven workforce and social impact initiatives.
