Training Contract Details

  • Duration: 2-year Training Contract (4 x 6-month seats)

Eligibility: Open to final-year LLB/GDL students or graduates completing the SQE. Candidates from all degree disciplines are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Complete four six-month seats across the firm's practice areas
  • Work on live deals and cases alongside qualified solicitors and partners
  • Draft legal documents, conduct research, and manage parts of transactions
  • Attend client meetings, negotiations, and completions
  • Participate in the Ashurst Academy training programme
  • Build towards qualification as a Solicitor of England and Wales

Requirements

  • On track for or hold a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline
  • Completion of or enrolment in the SQE, LPC, or equivalent pathway
  • Strong commercial awareness and interest in Ashurst's core sectors (energy, finance, tech)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to take on responsibility early
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
