About the Internship
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, is seeking a legal intern to join its in-house Legal Affairs department for a 3-month paid programme. This unique internship offers exposure to aviation law, international air transport regulations, and corporate legal operations within one of the Gulf's most established airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the legal team in reviewing commercial agreements including codeshare, interline, and ground handling contracts
- Research international aviation regulations including ICAO standards and IATA resolutions
- Draft internal memoranda on Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) regulatory requirements
- Support contract management for procurement, leasing, and vendor agreements
- Assist with passenger claims and liability matters under the Montreal Convention
- Help prepare regulatory compliance reports and corporate governance documentation
Requirements
- Law student (final year) or recent graduate from a recognised law programme
- Interest in aviation law, transport regulation, or international commercial law
- Strong analytical and research skills with excellent English writing ability
- Arabic language proficiency is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to work in a corporate environment and handle confidential information
