Internship Description

Patton Moreno & Asvat offers an internship focused on trade law and Colón Free Zone (Zona Libre de Colón) operations, the largest free trade zone in the Western Hemisphere. You will gain practical experience in customs procedures, international trade contracts, and free zone regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Research Colón Free Zone regulations and customs procedures. Assist with drafting trade contracts and distribution agreements. Support attorneys on customs dispute files and documentation. Help prepare compliance checklists for free zone operators. Attend meetings with customs officials and free zone administrators.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in the final two years of a Licenciatura en Derecho or International Trade program at a Panamanian university. Interest in trade, customs, or commercial law. Spanish required; English and Mandarin or Arabic a plus.
