Energy Law Intern — PetroVietnam, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi

PetroVietnam is offering a 6-month paid internship in its Legal Department at the headquarters in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. The intern will assist with contract review, legal research, and regulatory compliance for upstream and downstream energy operations.

Programme Details

• Duration: 6 months
• Compensation: Paid — monthly stipend of 5,000,000-7,000,000 VND
• Start Date: Rolling applications; next intake Q3 2026
• Eligibility: Open to final-year Cử nhân Luật students or recent graduates with an interest in energy law

PetroVietnam's legal internship provides rare exposure to the intersection of energy law, state enterprise governance, and international joint ventures.

• Assist lawyers with reviewing and summarising energy contracts and joint venture agreements
• Conduct legal research on petroleum regulations, environmental standards, and licensing requirements
• Help maintain the legal department's contract database and document management system
• Support the preparation of legal opinions and compliance reports
• Attend internal legal department meetings and training sessions
• Assist with translation of legal documents between Vietnamese and English

• Final-year Cử nhân Luật student or recent graduate from a recognised university
• Interest in energy law, natural resources, or environmental law
• Basic knowledge of the Petroleum Law 2022 and Environmental Protection Law 2020
• Fluent Vietnamese; intermediate English
• Analytical mindset and good research skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to work with large document sets
