Eversheds Sutherland's Qatar practice is offering a 10-week paid internship based at the firm's satellite workspace in Lusail City, Qatar's newest urban centre. This internship focuses on the firm's market-leading energy and projects practice, providing exposure to LNG transactions, construction advisory, and project finance matters in one of the world's most active energy markets.

Programme Details

• Duration: 10 weeks
• Location: Eversheds Sutherland workspace, Lusail, Qatar
• Paid internship: Monthly stipend of QAR 6,000-7,000
• Open to: Law students in their penultimate or final year, or recent graduates

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with legal research on Qatar's energy regulatory framework and environmental legislation
• Review and summarise EPC contracts and FIDIC documentation under supervision
• Draft research memoranda on LNG market developments and regulatory changes
• Support the team on project finance documentation and security reviews
• Attend client meetings and training sessions on energy law topics

• Support the energy and projects team on active matters
• Complete research projects on energy law and LNG topics
• Attend weekly training sessions on Qatari energy regulation
• Maintain professional standards and time recording
• Prepare an end-of-internship research paper on an energy law topic

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an LLB, JD, or LLM programme
• Interest in energy law, construction, or project finance
• Strong research and writing skills in English
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or energy law is desirable but not essential
• Right to work in Qatar or eligibility for an internship visa
