Estagiário — Departamento Bancário e Financeiro (Estágio 18 meses)

Vieira de Almeida (VdA) is offering an 18-month Estágio position in its Departamento Bancário e Financeiro at Rua Dom Luís I in Lisbon. Graduates registered for the Estágio da Ordem dos Advogados will gain first-hand experience in Portugal's most significant banking transactions — syndicated lending, project finance, and restructurings — working alongside some of the country's finest financial lawyers.

What You Will Do

• Assist on syndicated loan documentation, reviewing facility agreements and security packages under Portuguese law
• Conduct legal research on banking regulation: RGICSF, Banco de Portugal Avisos, and CIRE insolvency procedures
• Support due diligence workstreams for financing transactions
• Draft internal memoranda and precedent summaries for the knowledge management team
• Attend closings and negotiations with banks and borrowers

Elegibilidade

• Licenciatura or Mestrado em Direito from a leading Portuguese university
• Registered for the Estágio da Ordem dos Advogados
• Strong academic record; interest in banking and financial regulation
• Good English (B2 minimum); Duration: 18 months, full-time, with strong conversion rate
