Human Rights Legal Research Internship
The Saudi Human Rights Commission is offering a research internship for law students and graduates interested in human rights law and policy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Internship Overview
This 8-week unpaid internship provides exposure to human rights monitoring, policy research, and the implementation of Saudi Arabia's commitments under international human rights treaties. You will contribute to research projects covering labor rights, women's rights reforms, and the Personal Status Law.
Duration and Compensation
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Compensation: Unpaid (transportation allowance provided)
- Location: Riyadh office
What You Will Do
- Research Saudi Arabia's obligations under international human rights conventions
- Assist with preparing reports on human rights developments in the Kingdom
- Analyze the impact of Personal Status Law reforms on family law practice
- Research labor rights protections under the reformed Kafala system
- Attend workshops and training sessions on human rights monitoring methodologies

Requirements
- LLB student or recent graduate from a recognized Saudi or international university
- Strong interest in human rights law and policy
- Excellent research and writing skills in Arabic and English
- Knowledge of international human rights instruments (ICCPR, CEDAW, CRC)
- Saudi nationals and international applicants welcome
- Available for full 8-week commitment
