Legal Intern (Staj) — International Law Department — Ministry of Justice, Jerusalem
The Ministry of Justice International Law Department is offering a staj position in Jerusalem. What You Will Do
- Research public international law questions including treaty interpretation, state responsibility, and international humanitarian law
- Assist with drafting treaty texts and bilateral agreement documentation
- Support the team on Israel's positions before international courts and tribunals
- Research comparative constitutional law questions relating to Basic Laws implementation
- Attend inter-ministerial legal consultations and Knesset committee hearings
- Prepare background memoranda on international legal developments

Requirements
- LLB from a recognized Israeli law faculty — Hebrew University's international law program graduates are particularly sought
- Outstanding academic record and demonstrated interest in public international law
- Strong Hebrew and English; French and/or Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage
- Prior research or coursework in international law, human rights, or comparative constitutional law
- Israeli citizenship required for security clearance
- Eligible for staj registration with the Israel Bar Association
