Internship — Legal Department

The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) is offering a Legal Department Internship for outstanding law students interested in central banking law, financial regulation, and public law. This prestigious internship provides rare insight into the legal functions of Bulgaria's central bank, including regulatory drafting, EU financial legislation, and monetary policy legal frameworks.

Assisting legal experts with research on banking regulation and monetary policy legal issues; Reviewing draft regulatory acts and providing research support; Monitoring EU financial legislation developments (EBA guidelines, ECB opinions); Assisting with document management and archiving of legal department files; Preparing summaries of legal opinions and regulatory decisions; Attending internal seminars on central banking law and financial regulation; Observing inter-institutional coordination meetings.

Currently enrolled in years IV-V of a Law degree at a Bulgarian university; Strong academic record with minimum grade of 5.50/6.00; Interest in banking regulation, public law, or EU financial law; Basic knowledge of the Law on the BNB and Credit Institutions Act; Fluent Bulgarian; English at intermediate-advanced level; Bulgarian citizenship required; Clean criminal record; Available for minimum 20 hours per week for 3 months.
